The SD-501 builds on the foundations of the SD-500, raising the bar for compact tower loudspeakers. While remaining in a relatively modest footprint, the SD-501 delivers deeper bass extension, wider dynamic range and richer musical immersion than traditional bookshelf models.
Advanced Drive-System
At its heart lies the signature USHER DMD diamond-dome tweeter (type 9980-20), paired with two 5.5″ hybrid-composite fiber cone woofers. This dual-woofer, 2.5-way architecture intelligently divides the frequency load: one driver addresses ultra-low frequencies, the other handles the mid-bass and lower midrange. The result: stronger bass delivery, tighter transient control and minimal distortion across the range.
Refined Enclosure & Crossover Technology
Recognizing that volume limits bass performance, the SD-501’s enclosure has been expanded compared to the SD-500 while maintaining elegant proportions. Internal bracing, thick panels and optimised reflex porting ensure minimal cabinet resonance. The crossover network employs air-core inductors, matched premium capacitors, and OFC wiring — all tuned to preserve signal purity and the full benefit of the DMD tweeter.
Design Meets Function
A slightly angled front baffle aligns tweeter and woofer in time, optimising imaging and coherence. Available in high-gloss or matte Walnut with Piano Black finishes front baffle, the SD-501 offers both sonic excellence and aesthetic refinement, ready to integrate into elevated listening spaces.
